Teenage postal clerk Tomek confesses to spying on artist Magda. The older woman’s interest is piqued and though initially angry, she draws him into a tremulous, ultimately humiliating love affair. A mature, profoundly moving film, made in Poland with subtitles, directed by Krystof Kieslowski.
