Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, September 1990
The Lewis London Ballet present –
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – with the voice of Nigel Hawthorne
The fantasy and charm of Lewis Carroll’s curious and fascinating adventure is brought vividly to life in this magnificent and classic production. The brilliance, excitement and beauty of classical ballet combines with the rich drama and splendid characters as Alice encounters the White Rabbit, Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, the dance of the Lobster Quadrille, Frog and Fish Footman and the dazzling display of virtuoso ballet as the Roses are painted red. The ballet culminates in a series of danced divertissement as evidence is given against the unfortunate Jack of Hearts. Moved by the obvious injustice Alice saves him in a romantic and passionate pas de deux leaving Alice alone on a river bank enchanted by the memory of her adventures in Wonderland.
