Barber of Seville, October 1995
A full length production sung in English and accompanied by the Travelling Opera Orchestra.
One of the funniest of all operas in which Figaro thinks up ever more outrageous ruses to help Count Almaviva win the lovely but capricious Rosina, the closely guarded ward of lecherous old Dr Bartolo, who wants him for himself. True love wins the day however in this sizzling production with a whole string of hummable tunes including the memorable ‘Figaro, Figaro’.
