This musical western is adapted from the film. The year is 1876 and Calamity Jane dresses like a man, totes a gun, and drives the Deadwood City stagecoach. Well-meaning but disaster prone, she tries to help the local saloon proprietor out of a jam by promising to fetch a music hall star from Chicago. Complications arise providing some hilarious comedy, as well as tender moments. Musical director is BBC pianist Trevor Hughes, Director is TV and National Theatre actor Richard Syms.
