Cosi Fan Tutte, March 1987
Interpretation of the Mozart opera. In the gardens of an Oxford College in the early 1900s two undergraduates are receiving their weekly tutorial. Their teacher Don Alfonso, challenges them to test the fidelity of their respective sweethearts and they agree to pretend to go off to war and return disguised as aristocratic orientals, bent on seducing the young ladies. At first they are fiercely resisted but eventually the young ladies succumb to their exotic charms and everyone ends the day a little wiser.
