A six-part vocal consort, who had made their London concert debut the previous spring, making their Stevenage debut, with a varied programme ranging from mediaeval airs, Schubert part-songs, and Debussy chansons to barber-shop and folk arrangements. Also included was the first public performance of a set of songs by one of the group’s founder-members, Granville Walker, and an occasional instrumental solo for variety.
