A night of music, spoken word, dance, DJs and visual projections evoking the sounds, rhythms and flavours of the UK diaspora. Featuring Kadam Dance: renowned dancer Kali Dass, clarinettist Arun Ghosh and tabla beats, Culture Shock: high energy hip-hop dance troupe, Sophie Woolley: writer and performer as featured on Channel 4’s Shoreditch Twat & The Art Show, Zena Edwards: poet, singer and musician recently featured in Lee Scratch Perry’s Meltdown, Jacob Sam-La Rose: acclaimed poet and performer, Charlie Dark: poet, producer and DJ (Attica Blues), Abdul Forsyth: DJ and promoter (Plastic People) and Izekor ‘Zak’ Akhimien: musician and DJ (Amplified). Artistic Direction by Melanie Abrahams (renaissance one). Visual projections by Space and Identity [0,1] artists Myrna Loy, Ho Law and Sharon Sinclair presenting landscapes of Jamaica and beyond. This event is supported by decibel.
