Don Giovanni (PG), January 1989
Joseph Losey’s widely acclaimed film of one of Mozart’s most popular Operas. DON GIOVANNI is a tragi-comedy that combines sexual humour with the terrors of hell, a mixture of serious music, drama and comic set pieces that brought forth some of Mozart’s most perfect music. A start studded cast includes Ruggero Raimondi and Kiri Te Kanawa, conducted by Lorin Maazel.
Please note the earlier performance starting time, due to the length of the film.
The Christie Theatre Organ can be heard for half an hour before Tuesday evening’s screening.
