Incantation - A Special Christmas Concert, June 1993
Pan Pipe band. Seems an odd date for a “Special Christmas Concert” Promoting new album “On Gentle Rocks” including the single ‘Cacharpaya”.
Incantation formed in 1981 initially to provide music for Ballet Rambert’s Ghost Dances. Public response was so good that it lead to a recording contract and their first album Chacharpaya Panpipes of the Andes sold in excess of 200,000 copies. Their compilation album The Best of Incantation which went Gold in 1986 has to date sold in excess of one million copies worldwide. In 1985 the Band began its career in motion pictures, producing the sound track for The Mission, following which they went on to produce sound tracks from Willow, Young Guns, Field of Dreams, Handful of Dust, Farewell to the King, City of Joy and Patriot Games.
