Little Buddha (PG), August 1994
The final instalment in Bertolucci’s “Oriental Trilogy”, this wondrous fairytale of the American boy believed to be the reincarnation of a well-respected Lama is as visually stunning as The Last Emperor and was the first feature film to be given permission to film inside the usually almost inaccessible kingdom of Bhutan. A fantastic glimpse into a culture worlds removed from our own.
The Christie Organ will be played for half an hour before tonight’s screening by David Warner.
