Based on the autobiography of Irish writer and painter Christy Brown. Crippled at birth by cerebral palsy, encouraged by his mother, he struggles to communicate using the only part of his body he can control – his left foot. Daniel Day Lewis and Brenda Fricker won Oscars for their performances in this film.
The Christie Theatre Organ can be heard for half an hour before Tuesday’s screening.
