National Youth Jazz Orchestra, May 1993
The enthusiasm and energy of youth combined with musical virtuosity make this one of the most exciting big bands you will ever hear. Directed by its founder Bill Ashton MBE, and now into its 28th year, NYJO is a showcase for British jazz composers and musicians and has performed in major concert halls and jazz clubs all over the world. They make a very welcome return to Stevenage, where they played their very first sell-out concert — at the Nobel School!
