The world famous English Music Theatre Company (formerly the English Opera Group) performed this operetta, telling the story of Paul Bunyan, the legendary folk-hero of America. Words by W.H. Auden and music by Benjamin Britten. The work was first performed in New York in 1941, and then remained unseen until this production opened in June 1975.
