Puss in Boots, December 1984 - January 1985
The magical tale of the miller’s son and his clever cat. Charles Haley Productions present Bobby Crush in the starring role of Bobby, the miller’s son – a young hero facing the evil forces against him with courage, charm, a fine singing voice and, of course, an excellent pianist. He is aided and abetted by the magic talking Puss, played by comedienne Mimi Law. D’Oyly Carte Principal John Ayldon plays the queen, and Jane Stevens plays the evil cat-woman – Katysha Feline, who thwarts our hero by devilish schemes. The princess is played by Carol LeRoy, the king Andrew Betts, and the Georgina Cole Young Set show that the local children can really dance.
Each day has 2 performances a day, mainly at 2.30 and 7.30. No performances on Sundays.
IN addition, from 1 December a Puss in Boots Cat Challenge Book is available from the Box Office and at performances. The quiz is for children under 14 on 1 December 1984 and the first prize is £25, the second two runners up will receive £10 each, and the four 3rd prizes £5 each. Each winner will also receive two free tickets to the presentation performance on 10 January at 7.30.
