The Regent Sinfonia of London founded in 1979 by respected British conductor George Vass is particularly admired for its performance of works by the Strauss family and their contemporaries. Tonight’s Viennese programme includes the Overture to Die Fledermaus, Vienna Blood and Voices of the Spring Waltzes, Annen Polka, Tik-Tak Polka and On the Beautiful Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II; Symphony No. 21 in A by Mozart; Lehar’s Gold and Silver Waltz; and Josef Strauss’s Windmill Polka. George Vass conducts.
