The Magic Flute, March 1989
Alexander Roy London Ballet Theatre presents The Magic Flute
Music: W.A. MOZART, Production & Choreography: ALEXANDER ROY
Following the resounding success of Alexander Roy’s first full-length ballet A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, it is perhaps inevitable that he should be attracted to the theme of THE MAGIC FLUTE. Mozart’s masterpiece, composed in 1791 during the last year of his life, is an extraordinary colourful work, combining magical, dramatic and humoristic elements within the framework of his inspired musical score. The ballet is danced to a specifically arranged score from the opera and other works by Mozart.
