The New Amen Corner, April 2011
The New Amen Corner had emerged over the previous couple of years as one of the hottest bands on the 60’s circuit. They had the ability to perfectly recreate the sound and atmosphere of the period when music sent ‘Good Vibrations’ across the world and to put audiences into a ‘Summer of Love’ party mood.
The original Amen Corner was one of the biggest influences on the sixties pop scene to ever come out of Wales. Since the premature demise of the band in 1969, their legacy had been somewhat forgotten. However, due to a long-standing friendship between sax man Frogman Curtis and Alan Jones (original Amen Corner founder member), the idea to form the New Amen Corner in order to keep the memory and music alive of the original band was born.
Tickets priced at £15.50.
