The Sleeping Beauty, May 1982
“The Sleeping Beauty is a new and original ballet-pantomime especially devised and choreographed by Georgina Cole to show off the talents of her pupils in the Georgina Cole School of Dance. More than 200 dancers, ranging from 4-year-olds to the ‘Mums’ of Georgina’s adult classes, take part in an exciting and colourful show which uses music from all kinds of sources to give a new slant to the traditional fairy tale; Georgina and assistant Su Chopra have delighted large audiences in the past with their versions of The Nutcracker and The Wizard of Oz — don’t miss this new family show from the same stable: four performances over the weekend of 29 and 30 May will sell out very quickly, so hurry!”
