Theatre 1 & Theatre 2, September 1990
Drama Festival – An opportunity to see three productions, presented by well-known companies, during this exciting week of drama.
Focus Productions in association with QPQ International Ltd presents –
The British Premiere Tour of Theatre 1 & Theatre 2
This excellent double bill is presented to commemorate Samuel Beckett’s recent death. THEATRE 1 is set in post-holocaust times and depicts the plight of two survivors – one is blind and one is crippled. The comedy emerges from the tragedy as the blind man attempts to teach the cripple to walk and the cripple tries to tech the blind man to see. THEATRE 2 centres around the indecision of a man contemplating suicide. Two characters in the guise of city gents represent different components of the man’s mind and the humour derives from the rational and not so rational debate as to whether the man should jump or live to see another day.
7:45pm. £5.50. Concessions and Theatre Club, £4.00.
