Tosca, May 2004
The London Opera Players presents TOSCA
Tosca is one of Puccini’s most powerful and successful operas. Set in Rome in 1800, this tragic tale takes us into a police state under the merciless grasp of the chief of police, Scarpia. Cavaradossi, a painter and activist against the regime, is in love with Tosca, a famous opera singer who in turn is the object of Scarpia’s sadistic infatuation. With passion and conviction the London Opera Players bring this compelling opera to its tragic and poignant end.
