Up on the Roof, April 1990
Channel Theatre Company presents Up on the Roof, by Simon Moore & Jane Prowse.
In the summer of 1975, five young people from a vocal combo, The Roof Club, developed and rehearsed on the roof of a student house in Hull. With the world at their feet, they promise they’ll never sell out, work nine to five, get married . . . or join BUPA, and look forward to their inevitable future success. The way in which their expectations and their personalities change over the course of a decade is hilariously illustrated in this musical. The action is highlighted by stunning, accapella versions of such classic hits as Band of Gold, My Eyes Adored You and Never Can Say Goodbye.
